  • Will of Ann Godfrey lately of Bishopshull Somerset deceased ( after 1792 - 1843)  - Taunton Record Office 12/2/04 Ref DD/ED 210/61

    1.      I Ann Godfrey of ill health but of sound mind do declare this to be my
    2.      first and last will and testament. I do give to my Son Mathew Forty
    3.      pounds to bring him up to a trade, I also give to William my Son
    4.      Thirty pounds to bring him up to a trade. And also I give to Mary my
    5.       Daughter thirty pounds. Also I give to Jane my Daughter Thirty Pounds and
    6.      Ten pounds to Henery my Son. Also I give to Louisa my Daughter
    7.      thirty pounds and five pounds for Thomas my son. I also leave
    8.      five pounds for Louisa my Daughter to find Henry in shirts and
    9.      stockings from this time untill a apprentice is out, my furniture
    10.     at Ruishton to be equally divided between Jane and Mary my two
    11.     daughters. And all my clothes ring and gold [fun?] I give to Mary
    12.     my daughter. Twenty pounds I leave for my funeral and to give Mary
    13.     Ann Turle a suit of mourning. I leave George and Louisa Sercombe
    14.     executors and trust for Mathew and William to take care of their legacies
    15.     and make the best of it till they have learnt a trade.
