    1 This is the last Will and Testament of me Thomas Godfrey of Ryalls
    2 within the Parish of Lyng in the County of Somerset Yeoman I give to my son William
    3 Godfrey the sum of twenty pounds I give to my son James Godfrey the sum of twenty
    4 pounds I give to my daughter Eliza Wills the wife of Richard Wills of Bridgwater
    5 in the said County of Somerset Gardener the sum of twenty pounds I give to my
    6 daughter Amy Chinn the wife of Alfred Chinn of Weston Zoyland in the said
    7 County Butcher the sum of twenty pounds all which before mentioned legacies I direct
    8 shall be paid by my executors within twelve months next after my decease and to be
    9 in addition to what I have given my said sons and daughters in my lifetime I
    10 give to my Grandson Henry Foster son of Henry Foster of North Curry in the said
    11 County Butcher the sum of ten pounds to be paid to him by my executor on his attaining
    12 the age of twenty one years and thereby charge and make liable the whole of my real
    13 estate with the payment of all the before mentioned legacies all my real estate wheresoever
    14 situate and also all the rest and residue of my personal estate  I give devise and bequeath
    15 unto my two sons Job Godfrey and Joseph Godfrey their Heirs executors and adminis-
    16 trators in equal [  ] as Tenants in Common and not Joint Tenants subject never
    17 theless to the payment of the before mentioned legacies my just debts funeral and
    18 testamentary expenses And it is my Will and Thereby declare that the shares of my
    19 said sons Job Godfrey and Joseph Godfrey in my said real and personal estate shall be
    20 altogether independent of any sum of sums of money, goods, Cattle and chattels
    21 I may have given either of them in my lifetime and the same is not in any way
    22 to be taken into the account of my personal estate and effects I appoint my said
    23 sons Job Godfrey and Joseph Godfrey joint executors of this my Will In Witness whereof
    24 I have hereunto set my hand this twenty seventh day of February in the year of our
    25 Lord one thousand eight hundred and fifty four

    27 Signed and published by the above named Thomas Godfrey the Testator as and for
    27 his last Will and Testament in the presence of us present at the same time  who in
    28 his presence and in the presence of each other have hereunto subscribed our
