    The entry in the Public Records Office Wills for Robert Turle ref: Prob 11/1463 August the 4th 1803

    The will and testament of Robert Turle I give to my two children Betsey and Robert three quarters of a hundred vested in the consolidated three per cent Annuities also the sum of thirteen Guineas a six and thirty piece and three crown pieces and all my clothes to my son Robert.

    In the name of God Amen, I
    Joseph Turle of Taunton Satint Mary Magdalen in the county of Somerset Musician
    being of sound mind memory and understanding do make publish and declare
    this my last will and testament in manner following that is to say I give and
    bequeath unto my son James Turle the sum of fifty pounds the same to be paid to him
    by my executor hereinafter named within the space of three months after my decease
    Also I give to my said son James my two bass viols and all my violins but one
    hereinafter named Also I give to my said son James three silver spoons and
    six silver tea spoons the same to be delivered to him after my decease immediately for
    his own use and benefit I give to William son of my son Richard Turle what I
    always denominate my best violin for his own use and benefit All the rest residue
    and remainder (after payment of my just debts and funeraral expenses and the expense
    of proving this my last will and testament) of my estate effects money plate household
    goods and furniture whatsoever and wheresoever the same might be I give to my son
    Richard Turle for his own use and benefit absolutely and I do hereby nominate
    constitute and appoint the said Richard Turle whole and sole executor and
    residuary legatee of this my last will and testament hereby revoking
    all former and other will and testament void and do declare this to be my last
    will and testament - In witness thereof the said Joseph Turle the tetator have
    hereunto set my hand and seal this thirteenth day of May in the year of our
    Lord one thousand and eight hundred and thirty
